“The world is but a canvas to the imagination.”
-- Henry David Thoreau

Sometimes in the journey of life, it’s not the main road but the
indirect route that guides a person to their destiny. Road construction
in Yellowstone National Park resulted in a change of plans and a new
destination, southern Utah. It was here, in this place of dramatic
rock formations, stunning slot canyons and abundant archaeological ruins,
that Denny Thurston was first introduced to the beauty and wonder of this
incredible land. Denny works primarily with medium and large format cameras
and has created thousands of inspired photographs. He specializes in capturing
imagery of landscapes, wildlife and the southwest canyon country. All of his
images contain the same characteristics: interesting composition, quality of
light and artistic imagination.

Denny earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography
and a Master of Education Degree from Utah State University.
He has more than 25 years of professional experience.

Denny and his wife Sharyn reside in Boise, Idaho.

“What a wonderful privilege it is to capture beautiful moments in time and share those moments with others.”
